Emily + Tyler are Tying the Knot!

A Magical Winter Day at Fort Derick

I had the absolute joy of photographing Emily and Tyler's engagement session at the picturesque Fort Derick in Frederick, MD. This spot holds a special place in their hearts as it was where they had their very first date. Tyler took Emily fishing (how cute is that?), and even though the weather was freezing and it was snowing lightly, their love and determination warmed up the entire session. Their love and determination certainly shone brightly through the camera lens!

Emily and Tyler are tying the knot in August at The Goldfish Barn in Fort Loudon, PA, a venue that promises to be a charming and picturesque as their love story. I couldn't be more excited for them! They were home visiting from Pennsylvania for the holidays, so we made the most of our time together and seized the opportunity regardless of the freezing temps and wind. We had a backup plan in case the weather got too crazy, but Emily and Tyler were troopers, braved the chilly temps, and we had a wonderful time, proving that their bond could withstand any challenge. Their final images were filled with warmth and joy, making the chilly day worth every moment, and we all agreed there was no need for that backup plan after all.

It's a special honor for me to be part of Emily and Tyler's journey. I was Emily’s older brother Eric’s senior photographer, and I even did a photo session for Emily and her mom when she was a teenager. Now, to capture her wedding day is truly a privilege. Talk about coming full circle!

Throughout the entire session, Emily and Tyler's love and friendship were so evident in every single pose. Their commitment to each other is undeniable, and it's clear they're building an amazing life together. Their love story is filled with warmth, dedication, and genuine affection, and I am beyond grateful to be a part of it.
