I’m Melisa, a 5'2" photographer who believes in magic, chases light, and seeks out authentic moments that happen while you’re busy living in the moment.

I’m a Maryland girl, born and raised, though oddly enough, I don’t love crabs or go crazy over Old Bay, go figure! While I treasure my roots, I also have a deep love and connection to Pittsburgh, PA.

I am head over heels in love with my four amazing sons, two gorgeous daughters-in-law, and my adorable grandson, and I’ve been happily married to my best friend, Mike, for 25 years. Life is a beautiful whirlwind of family, photography, baseball, football, movie and TV show quotes, and a dash of quirkiness. Ask me about any sitcom episode from the ’80s and ’90s, and I can probably recite it verbatim. I’m an over-user of punctuation, especially the ellipsis, and my love language falls somewhere between acts of service and words of affirmation.

I love quiet time, but you won’t find me hiding in the corner at a social gathering. Instead, you’ll find me, camera in hand, right where the moments are happening. It turns out being a photographer is the best seat in the house when life is being celebrated. Whether I’m barefoot in the grass or dancing in fuzzy socks, I’m soaking up the energy, laughing along, and capturing the memories as they’re made. Life is a beautiful adventure, and I’m here for every magical moment of it.
